Nas grandes cidades, são raros os espaços onde velhos e novos se encontram verdadeiramente.
Num tempo marcado pelo digital e por vidas cada vez mais rápidas, mas também solitárias, o fosso entre gerações alarga-se.
In big cities, spaces where young and old come together are rare.In a time marked by the digital and by lives that are ever faster, yet also lonelier, the gap between generations grows wider.
A Avó Cooking Lab nasce como resposta a essa distância, criando um lugar de encontro à volta da mesa e da comida, feita pelas mãos e memórias de quem tem muito para partilhar.
Avó Cooking Lab was born as a response to this distance, creating a place of encounter around the table and food, made with the hands and memories of those who have so much to share.
Mais do que um projecto de cozinha, é um espaço de afeto, aprendizagem e dignidade.Aqui, as Avós (com mais de 60 anos) preparam refeições caseiras, transmitem saberes e acolhem novas ideias, lado a lado com outras gerações e também chefs emergentes.A cozinha torna-se numa sala de estar pública, onde há lugar para o humor, a escuta e a criação conjunta.
More than just a cooking project, it is a space of affection, learning, and dignity. Here, Grandmothers (over 60) prepare homemade meals, share their knowledge, and welcome new ideas, side by side with other generations and emerging chefs.The kitchen becomes a public living room, where there is room for humor, listening, and collective creation.
Acreditamos que ninguém deve envelhecer sozinho — e que todos temos algo a dar.A Avó Cooking Lab valoriza a experiência, combate a solidão e cria novos laços sociais, dando novas oportunidades a quem ainda tem muito para oferecer.Promove a auto-estima, o espírito empreendedor e a coesão social, mostrando que envelhecer pode ser um acto de partilha, reinvenção e presença. Através de almoços comunitários, caterings e workshops.
We believe no one should grow old alone — and that each of us has something to give.Avó Cooking Lab values experience, combats loneliness, and creates new social bonds, offering fresh opportunities to those who still have so much to contribute. It promotes self-esteem, an entrepreneurial spirit, and social cohesion, showing that aging can be an act of sharing, reinvention, and presence — through community lunches, catering, and workshops.
